Ultrasoft Money 4.2 (Dec. 1, 2004)

This update includes fixes and workarounds for the following issues:

• A bug in the built-in software on palmOne Treo 650 devices would cause the device to repeatedly reset if Ultrasoft Money was present. Click here for details.

• On palmOne T5 devices, the dynamic input area to appear and disappear repeatedly if an alert was displayed over a full-screen dialog such as the split list or category chooser.

• On palmOne T5, if a field was highlighted, and the navigation focus ring was moved programmatically, the field would be left highlighted.

• If a recurring bill series was configured to end on a future date, and a payment was recorded on the handheld, Ultrasoft Money would incorrectly recalculate the number of remaining payments. Check your bills in Microsoft Money, and if you are affected by this issue, either manually adjust the end date or run the Ultrasoft Money Diagnostic and use the Repair option.

The Treo 650 bug workaround involved changing one of Ultrasoft Money's database identifiers, which necessitated a major-version update. Consequently, you must synchronize your handheld to upload your changes before you install the update.

Ultrasoft Money 4.0.2 (Oct. 5, 2004)

This update includes the following bug fixes:

• In some cases, income categories were not correctly displayed in the budget and subcategories were not correctly displayed in the budget progress popup window.

• Attempting to add or edit a currency would cause Treo 600 devices to reset.

• Split items were shown out of sequence when "drilling down" into the register view from the budget or a report.

• The transaction view would not redraw properly when scrolled on Palm OS® 4 devices.

• In some cases, report filters could be corrupted during synchronization.

• Budget amounts were displayed in the device's home currency instead of the base currency.

• Modifying the details of a bill instance would prevent it from being automatically recorded on the handheld after the next HotSync® operation.

• If an account contained unaccepted electronic transactions that were matched with a scheduled bill instance, their amounts would be incorrectly included in the account balance.

• The To currency selector was not being displayed in the calculator tool.

5. New "read only" account and transaction detail views.
6. Selectable fonts, including support for VersaMail fonts.
7. Selectable colors.
8. Improved filtering, with new options so you can find information (including splits) more easily.
9. New "drill down" capability in the Reporter module, so you can quickly find the information behind the report.
10. Improved Register view layout, with selectable columns.
