Revision History
Ultrasoft Money 2.5 (12/1/2004)
This update works around a bug in the built-in
software on palmOne Treo 650 devices. Click here
for details.
The workaround involved changing one of Ultrasoft Money's database
identifiers, which necessitated a major-version update.
Consequently, you must synchronize your handheld to upload your changes before you install
the update.
You need install this update only if you're using a palmOne Treo 650
device, or if you're using a version of Ultrasoft Money prior to 2.4.7.
This is the current release of Ultrasoft Money 2. It is free
to registered users of the downloadable version of Ultrasoft Money 2.0 or
later (click
here to log in and install the update). This update will not work
with the retail CD version of Ultrasoft Money.
Ultrasoft Money 2.4.7 (8/1/2004)
This update fixes a bug whereby future account balances
could be calculated incorrectly in the register view.
Ultrasoft Money 2.4.6 (2/1/2004)
This update includes improved support for two-stroke
characters in Graffiti® 2, and several minor bug fixes.

This update contains further enhancements to the 30-day trial mode, including:
-
Daily
registration reminders and instructions on how to purchase.
-
Registration code can now be input into either the handheld application
or the Money conduit settings to activate the program beyond the 30-day
trial mode.
Ultrasoft Money 2.4.4 (4/7/2003)

the 30-day trial mode

Corrected Find output so it could be displayed by the FindHack
finder extension.
-

original_name_Backup.mnp.
-

installation, and numerous bug fixes (including the notorious "New
transaction insertion sort order" problem).
Ultrasoft Money 2.2.1 (4/12/2001)
This update includes the following enhancements and fixes:
-
If the payee field in a transfer transaction is blank,
the register list will now display the transfer details.
-
If you created or modified an account on your Palm OS®
handheld computer and used a new financial institution name, you would
then be unable to modify certain account details in Microsoft Money.
-
Synchronizing with the "Apply current exchange rates to transfers"
option enabled could miscalculate the amount.
Ultrasoft Money 2.2 (1/19/2001)
This update includes the following enhancements and fixes:
-
Support for Sony CLIE handheld
computers, including Jog Dial® navigation.
-
The Register View sorting algorithm is changed to accommodate
non-numeric values in the check number field (e.g. ATM, DEP).
-
The Microsoft Money 98 version of the handheld application could
hang during automatic processing of certain scheduled transactions.
-
In some situations, the result from the built-in
calculator would be wrong by 0.01.
-
Recording a future bill or deposit which included a
transfer to an account that was not downloaded (i.e. non-favorite or
unsupported) would set the transfer amount to zero and cause the account
balance to become incorrect.
-
When the "Apply current exchange rates" option
was enabled, synchronizing split transactions that included transfers
could cause the conduit to crash.
Ultrasoft Money 2.1 (11/06/2000)
This update includes the following fixes:
-
The handheld application could crash while deleting
accounts if they contained certain scheduled transactions. It could also
crash during automatic processing of certain scheduled transactions.
-
If accounts in Microsoft Money used currency names
longer than 19 characters, they would be truncated and duplicated as
"custom" currencies during synchronization. After several
synchronization operations, the conduit would log an error because of
too many custom currencies.
-
Changing an account's currency in Microsoft Money would
not be reflected in the handheld database.
-
The setup program now includes support for Windows Me.
The following fixes and changes were included in earlier
maintenance releases of Ultrasoft Money 2.0:
-
The handheld application could crash if certain
"hacks" were to change the system date or time while Money was
running.
-
The registration code check in the handheld application
was incorrect for certain HotSync names. If you receive a "30-day
Trial Expired" message, and your registration code is correct,
please install this update.
-
AutoComplete would not work correctly in some cases,
where non-alphabetic characters were used.
-
When certain transfer transactions were marked
"Reconciled" on the handheld, the change would not be
reflected in Microsoft Money.
-
Modifying a scheduled transfer to an unsupported account
type on the handheld would cause Microsoft Money to display "The
operation cannot be performed" after the next HotSync operation. Click
here if you get this message from Microsoft Money.
-
The Anchor list at bottom setting did not always
work correctly when switching between the Register and Bills
& Deposits views.
-
On systems with Microsoft Money 2001 installed, where a
prior version of Microsoft Money had never previously been installed,
setup would fail to detect Microsoft Money.
-
On handheld computers running Palm OS 3.3 and earlier,
selecting an item in a list (e.g. the Edit Categories list) would
sometimes highlight two items.
-
Selecting the Reconcile menu option and changing
the statement balances during reconciliation would not update the
balance at the bottom of the screen.
-
The MoneyFix program is designed to convert Lite
Edition and Solo Edition databases to the latest format. It
would crash if used to convert a database containing unsynchronized deleted records. This is fixed; however, it
should still not be used to convert synchronized databases. It is unlikely that databases converted with MoneyFix
will synchronize with Microsoft Money.
-
Version 2.0 displays investment accounts in the accounts
list; however, for options accounts, the balance showed zero.
-
When entering a memorized payee name in a new
transaction using the Money 2001 build, the transaction type would
change to transfer.
-
The web-based setup program is changed to remind people
that they should synchronize to upload any changes before installing the 2.0 upgrade.
