Ultrasoft Money is Trialware. This means that you download and install the full version of Ultrasoft Money, and try it out for up to 30-days before you purchase a registration code.

The program is fully functional in its trial mode: you can download your Money data, view and modify it on your Palm OS® handheld, try out all the features of the program, and synchronize your changes back to your desktop during the 30 day trial period.

To continue to use the program beyond its 30-day trial period, you must purchase a registration code.

The User's Guide is included when you install Ultrasoft Money. Click on the Windows Start button, then Programs and Ultrasoft Money.

If you haven't installed the software, you can download a copy of the User's  Guide. If you're using Money 2002 or later, click here to download the Ultrasoft Money version 5 User's Guide.

If you're using Microsoft Money 98 to 2001, click here to download the Ultrasoft Money version 2 User's Guide.

Go to the download page and run our smart web-based setup program.  It will download only the files and components needed for your particular system.

Alternatively, you can download the full Ultrasoft Money install program. If your browser prompts you, choose Save to save the program file to disk.  Later, from the Windows Explorer, double-click on the program file to launch Ultrasoft Money setup.

The setup program will copy Ultrasoft Money to your computer, then guide you though the installation and configuration process. If more than one Palm™ handheld synchronizes with your computer, Setup will list them and allow you so install and configure Ultrasoft Money for each one.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of Ultrasoft Money Solo Edition, do not delete it from your Palm handheld, as this will also delete your data.  See the updates page for more information.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of Ultrasoft Money, you should delete the old version from your Palm but don't uninstall it from your PC. When you run the setup program, it will save your Ultrasoft Money settings and then uninstall the previous version.

When setup is complete, synchronize your handheld to install Ultrasoft Money. You may have to synchronize twice - once to install the program file and again to download your Microsoft Money data. Check your HotSync log for "OK Ultrasoft Money" and, if it's not there, synchronize again.

Once you've installed Ultrasoft Money, tap the Money icon on your Palm handheld to start Ultrasoft Money. The program will start up where you left off. The first time you run the program, this will be the register view.

If you have downloaded your Microsoft Money data, the view will show all of your transactions. Tap on the "All" trigger, and select an account, or tap on the "View" button and choose another view.

For evaluation and learning purposes, you should not be afraid to try things out in the program. When you're done experimenting, you can re-download your Microsoft Money data and overwrite your changes using the "Desktop overwrites handheld" HotSync Action.

Once you've become familiar with the program, you can begin tracking your financial affairs on your Palm handheld. You can purchase a registration code, and configure Ultrasoft Money to synchronize your Palm handheld with Microsoft Money.
