Ultrasoft BrainForest 4.0.4 (July 19, 2006)

This HOT FIX resolves the following issues with the Mac OS desktop version of BrainForest Deluxe:

• Each time a tree was saved, a "BF_" prefix would be added to its file name. This is fixed.

• If the recently-used file list contains duplicate file names, their full path names are now displayed.

The Palm and Windows versions of BrainForest are not affected by this update.

Ultrasoft BrainForest 4.0.3 (May 24, 2006)

This upgrade includes several bug fixes. The following changes were made to the Palm OS version of BrainForest:

• Fixed additional display corruption on Sony handhelds.

• Attaching a note would reset the font if the large font was selected.

The following fixes were made to the Mac OS version of BrainForest:

• Fixed problems with new lines in notes.

• Fixed bug where changing item details would lose the note.

The following fix was made to the Windows version of BrainForest:

• Find/replace would not enable the Save menu option.

Ultrasoft BrainForest 4.0.2 (December 29, 2005)

This upgrade includes several bug fixes. The following changes were made to the Palm OS version of BrainForest:

• Corrected several problems with scrollbar positioning.

• Fixed a potential crash after a Purge operation.

• Fixed display corruption on Sony handhelds.

• Use correct font selector dialog on Sony devices running Palm OS 4.

The following fixes were made to the Mac OS version of BrainForest:

• Fixed problems with the Find window

• When exporting to OPML and HTML, correctly set character set encoding.

The Windows version of BrainForest is not affected by this update.

Ultrasoft BrainForest 4.0.1 (December 5, 2005)

This upgrade contains several fixes to the Mac OS version of BrainForest, including the following:

• Added support for Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, Hebrew, Japanese and Korean character sets.

• Fixed display of backup folder contents with non-English character sets.

• Fixed incorrect printing on Mac OS X.

• Fixed problem with Install to handheld menu command.

The Windows and Palm OS versions of BrainForest are not affected by this update.

Ultrasoft BrainForest 4.0 (November 7, 2005)

This major upgrade includes the following fixes and improvements to the Palm handheld version of BrainForest:

• Improved support for high-resolution devices, including full-screen landscape and portrait modes.

• Added support for 5-way navigation on newer devices.

• Improved support for keyboard accessibility, with new shortcuts to allow full keyboard use.

• Improved Tree List view displays optional extended tree information.

• Improved Tree view includes color and a selectable font.

• New Update menu command lets you make changes to an entire Tree.

• Added import plug-ins to import data from other outliners.

The Windows and Macintosh desktop versions of BrainForest have been updated to support for import/export of OPML (Outline Processor Markup Language) documents.

The appearance of the Mac OS X version has been improved.

Ultrasoft BrainForest 3.0 (May 2003)

Ultrasoft acquired BrainForest from Aportis Technologies. This was the initial release of BrainForest under the Ultrasoft brand. It included numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
